A mandate that must itself be executed as an authentic act is not eligible for RON.

Louisiana allows certain documents to exist as acts under private signature or acknowledged acts even when they are not authentic acts. But a clerk, lender, title insurer, bank, agency, or out-of-state recipient may impose additional requirements.
Certain cash sales, private-signature conveyances, leases, purchase agreements, assignments, property affidavits, and related documents may be eligible for RON depending on the legal form and recording or title requirements.
Many borrower affidavits, occupancy forms, identity affidavits, compliance agreements, authorizations, closing disclosures, and ancillary documents may be handled remotely. The mortgage or security instrument itself requires document-specific review.
Bills of sale, affidavits, and some limited powers of attorney may be eligible. Actual certificate-of-title endorsements and OMV forms depend on current title-system and agency requirements.
The signer may be outside Louisiana in many RON transactions, but the document must be acceptable under the law and procedures of the receiving state, country, agency, court, or institution.

You do not have to be in Monroe
For an eligible Louisiana RON transaction, the signer does not have to be physically present with the notary. Louisiana law allows the signer to be located inside or outside the state, while the Louisiana notary performs the remote act from a parish where the notary has authority.

Yes. Eligible RON services are available statewide. Your city or parish does not need to be within Rouge's Northeast Louisiana mobile-travel area.
Often, yes. Louisiana's RON law permits the signer to be located outside Louisiana. The document must still be eligible for RON, and the receiving jurisdiction or institution must accept the form of execution.
Louisiana law requires a witness to a remote online notarial act to be physically present with the signer. Rouge will identify witness requirements before the appointment.
No. Louisiana RON uses live communication technology together with identity verification, an electronic notarial certificate, the notary's electronic signature, and a tamper-evident digital process. It is more than simply watching someone sign over ordinary video chat.
